What is Yoga Revolution and what does it have to offer?

Yoga Revolution aims to bring the worldwide yoga revolution to your doorstep. It provides daily classes in two styles of yoga. These are Bihar and Power yoga (based on Astanga Viniyasa). Whereas the Bihar style of yoga is a compassionate approach to classical yoga concepts and techniques; Astanga based classes are strong; flowing sequences which are mentally and physically demanding for those who would also prefer to challenge themselves and tone their bodies.

What can I expect from a class?

During a standard yoga class, a qualified yoga instructor will take you through 1 to 1½ hours of yoga. In a typical class you can expect to:

• Perform various yoga postures (also called “asanas”)
• Perform various types of breathing techniques (also called “pranayama”)
• Release stress and tension through different relaxation and meditative techniques
• Build general strength; stamina and flexibility you never knew you had
• Learn to accept your body

What do I need for a class?

Dress comfortably; bring a yoga mat if you have one; always be at the class early; don’t bring your cellphone; always respect that other people are there to relax and learn; never talk in a class; never leave early; bring a towel; bring some water; leave all your stress and pre-conceived ideas at the door; bring a friend; and most of all – ENJOY and have FUN !
